    GREMTUBE® is the GREMTEK product family dedicated to sleeves and tubing for electrical insulation and the protection of cables, cable harnesses, and components. It encompasses a variety of technologies designed to meet the specific requirements of each application—whether related to installation, temperature, mechanical protection, or sealing.

    Heat-shrinkable sleeves (heat-shrink tubing) reduce in diameter when exposed to heat, allowing them to conform tightly to the underlying substrate. They offer shrink ratios ranging from 1.3:1 to 6:1 and can withstand maximum operating temperatures from +80°C to +260°C, depending on the specific product. Available in various materials and wall thicknesses, they allow for insulation and protection tailored to the geometry of the components and their operating environment.

    Thin-wall versions are particularly well-suited for electrical insulation and cable bundling, while minimizing bulk. Medium- and thick-wall versions provide enhanced mechanical protection. Adhesive-lined versions combine an outer jacket with an internal adhesive that melts during the shrinking process, bonding to the substrate; this helps protect junctions and terminations against the ingress of moisture and contaminants.

    The heat-shrink range includes halogen-free and flame-retardant options, as well as fluoropolymer and elastomer-based products for applications requiring specific resistance to extreme temperatures, fluids, or chemicals. Specialized products are also available for insulating medium-voltage busbars and protecting conduits.

    Cold-shrinkable sleeves (cold-shrink tubing) are installed without the need for heat. Supplied pre-expanded on a removable core, they contract around the cable or connector once the core is removed. GREMTUBE® GCSTE (made of EPDM) and GCSTS (made of silicone) provide a watertight seal, making them ideal for outdoor connections and telecommunication antennas. They offer an effective solution in situations where using heating equipment is impractical or incompatible with installation constraints.

    The product range also includes non-shrinkable extruded tubing, designed for applications that require insulation or protection with a fixed diameter. These are available in materials such as PTFE, PVC, polyolefin, and silicone.
